1.       Two Week Outdoor Challenge  –  It’s that time of year when we once again begin to encourage teachers and ECE’s to consider talking a bold new step ( or in some cases another step) towards learning and growing outdoors.  For those of you who are new to our group, this will be year 4 of the Two Week Outdoor Challenge.  Last year at least 33 Centres and Schools in Western Canada participated in this challenge.  For some it starts as a two hour outdoor challenge, for others its two days, and some groups have stretched it to 3 weeks outdoors.  What really  matters most is what you as an educator will experience with your children, during that extended time outdoors.  In order to alleviate some of the first time jitters you might be having  we are once again planning to have fellow educators share their experiences with you.  Do plan to come, as we will count on your participation and questions to once again make this an inspirational night.

2.       So…….once again we are seeking some experienced Two Week Outdoor participants who would be willing to share their experiences with others at our TUESDAY – APRIL 15th ,  MNACC meeting.  Presenters who works with different age groups (Infants, Pre-schoolers & School-agers) and in different environments (Child Care, schools, Nursery Schools, Family Child Care homes) are welcome to respond to this plea for help.  If you could give us a 10 – 20 minute talk about what went well, what to avoid, and what surprized you most (good surprize) about the time spent outdoors that is about all we will be asking from you.
