10:15-10:30 am Transition to Workshops (coffee, tea, juice & fruit available)

10:30 am – 12:00/12:30 pm Workshop A (meet at main lodge fire pit)

  2. Take it Outside!  Integrating Literacy and Nature
  3. What’s in your backpack? Bringing the Six Categories of Risky Play Indoors: Part 1
  4. Preparing for the Seasons with Intention: Part 1
  5. A Fireside Chat About Outdoor Play Regulations
  6. Back to Nature ~ A Green Kids Out-Of- Your-Classroom Experience
  7. Gentle Yoga:The connection to nature and our bodies

11:00-1:30  Resource Fair in the Gym/Bock Centre. Visit these vendors who are from child/nature friendly orgs and who sell child/nature friendly products. This is the only time for the resource fair so don’t miss it!

12:00- 1:30 pm Lunch (Lunchtime will vary depending on your workshop. Lunches will be a bag lunch so you can network and picnic or take your lunch to your sit spot- so long as you don’t litter!)

1:30-3:30 pm Workshop B (meet at main lodge fire pit)

  1. Nature Playbook: Take action to connect a new generation of Canadians with Nature
  2. Take it Outside!  Integrating Literacy and Nature
  3. What’s in your backpack? Bringing the Six Categories of Risky Play Indoors: Part 2
  4. Preparing for the Seasons with Intention: Part 2
  5. Sensational Little Learners
  6. Whittling a Diamond Willow Walking Stick
  7. Tool Use With Children
  8. The Geography of Childhood

3:30-5:30 pm Activity Time

6:45-7:30  The first Canadian screening of Nature Matters Film in the Gym/Bock Centre!!

7:45-8:30    Storytelling with Jamie Oliviero around the campfire!

After dark   Singing around the campfire/ Night Hike with Maddi *These activities are informal and free flow.

Saturday September 15th, 2018

8:00-9:15 am Breakfast

3:30 pm Silent Auction Prize Winners (posted  by swag table)

7:45 pm – Drumming around the Campfire with Heather at the God’s Cathedral Fire Pit

9:00-10:00 am Cabin Clean-up

10:00-11:30 am  Closing Circle with Elder Florence Paynter

11:30-Noon Closing/farewell/send off to 2020
