Environmental Literacy

“Environmental education” has been around since the 1970’s and is often described as knowledge and awareness education about the natural world.  But has this increased awareness approach to understanding natural systems changed the way people interact with the planet?  “Environmental Literacy” is described as both understanding and taking action on that knowledge.  This presentation will explore the abilities of an environmentally literate person, the actions associated with knowledge that lead to demonstrating a connections to natural systems.
